The following students from Terrace Bay and Sch- reiber graduated: Terrace Bay - Mary Claire Campbell, Carol Matush and Teresa Ramsay. SCHREIBER RECREATION NEWS PLAYGROUND: Through the Ministry of Culture and Recrea- tion and Schreiber Parks and Recreation, a Summer Playground is offered for children ages four and up. The children will participate in outdoor experiences, hikes, picnics, swimming, sports, games and arts and crafts, Monday =- 'Friday, 9:30 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Lake Superior High School. If any one has any hours of their time to help with Playground, please call the Recreation Office at 824-2317. EVENING GYM: Wayne Tremblay is running an evening gym programme for boys and girls ages 10 - 15, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday evenings is mixed; Thursday evening is for girls and Saturday ev- ening is for boys. There is a registration fee of $2.00, and you can register at the Rec- reation Office. WILDERNESS '76: Through the Board of Education and the Sch- reiber Recreation a wilderness programme is offered again this summer. Registration fee is $15.00 per child. For further information please contact Mr. Walter Klassen at 824-2512. TENNIS COURTS: The summer hours for the tennis courts are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Only members allowed. SWIMMING AND LIFEGUARDING: The swimming programme started July 5th HN | and the children meet at the Lake Superior of Public School. There are lifeguards on duty ok seven days a week - Monday to Friday - 1:30 1 - 4:30 and Saturday and Sunday - 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. They are Myrna Gauthier, Cindy McKay, Donna Gellert and Barb Huard. Rules have been posted at White Sand Beach for safety. A sir -en will sound at 3:00 p.m. every day and this means CLEAR THE WATER. This is a safety precaution such that the lifeguards can check the water and parents can check on their child -ren. Fy - Holy Angels School held their graduating exercises on June 25th. The twenty six grad- uates celebrated the event with Mass in Holy Angels Church at 5:00 p.m. followed by a ban- quet in the Schreiber Town Hall. Mr. John St. Amand the very able master of ceremonies, conducted the program with ease and humour. School pins were presented along with cer- tificates to the students by Father F.J. Mey- er.
