On Wednesday, March I0, I976 the Schreiber -Terrace Bay Tops Chapter ON I586 held their third annual KOPS Graduation ceremonies, along with presentation of recognition awards. After a short meeting, Leader Helen LeBlanc welcomed members and out of town guests from Marathon and Manitouwadge. After a lively sing song, Area Captain Helen Dooley spoke briefly, then introduced the executive and presented each with a charm for their term of office and a word of thanks to: Secretary - Edythe Cosgrove, Mavis Godin (present sec.) for their good write-ups and their evening smile; Treasurer - Geraldine McColeman, Claire Madge (present treas) for keeping their books balanced and in good ord- er; Weight Recorder - Barb Strasser, Edythe Cosgrove (present w/r) for their encouraging words and a big job well done; Asst. Weight Recorder - Norah Richardson for being a very continued page 5 ......a0a TERRACE BAY COUNCIL QUOTES The regular meeting of Terrace Bay Town- ship Council was held Wednesday, March 24th with Reeve Bray and Councillors Brassard, Hale and Helmink present. The minutes of the previous regular meet- ing were approved as circulated. Correspondence included: Termination of Concession Contract from W. Kurylo effective May I2th, I976. Notice of approval of a grant for arena annex and resurfacer. Notice of District #3 A.M.E.U. meeting to be held in Thunder Bay April I4th and Zone 9 Clerk-Treasurer's meeting in Fort Frances May I2th was received with Council to .send representation. Confederation College notified Council of a labour relations seminar to be held in Marathon, April 9th and IOth. Council will also be represented at this seminar. From a letter from S.E.I.U. re dates for meetings, April I5th was proposed as a meet- ing day for contract negotiations. A letter from the Chief of Police re man- power and other requests were dealt with in order. Notice was received from O.M.E. re approv- al of by-law 280 re zoning amendment for the hospital. . : By-Law No. 282 re authorized subdivision agreement with the Township and Kimberly- Clark was read a first, second and third time and passed. A resolution re wage adjustments for non- union full time employees of the Township (staying within the anti-inflation guide- lines) was passed.
