Soughton presided over the December meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Commun- ity Church. +A welcome was extended to the members of the afternoon and evening groups, and members. of Mrs. McKague's Junior Choir, who were special guests. Under the direction of Mrs. McKague, the choir presented some musical numbers, and were thanked by Mrs. Soughton. ; The theme of the meeting, "Christmas in England", was introduced by the chairman. Robbie Velanoff took the Worship service. In the business period, minutes of the last regular meeting and the executive meeting were read and approved. Mrs. Ena Buckley gave the treasurer's report. Members discussed the forthcoming Sunday school party to be held December I6th at noon. Mrs. Lundberg will convene this. Also on December I6th, a Christmas Coffee Hour will be held in the Narthex to which all adults in the congregation are invited. This will be convened by Mrs. Soughton. - The exchange of gifts among the members was discussed, with the thought that perhaps next year the members might donate instead to a worthy cause. SENTENCED, FINED Rene Frappier of Val Caron, Ont., and Ed- ward Seguin of Verner, Ont., were sentenced to five-day jail terms and fined $250. each for hunting moose out of season. .
