Two of The Director of Education, Business Administrator and Chief Accountant were authorized to sign any necessary documents required by The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Manitouwadge, Ontario Branch, for the execution of a bank loan in the amount of $46,000.00 to finance the purchase of two homes in Manitouwadge. By-Law Number 18 - Being a By-Law to author- ize the issue of a debenture in the principal amount of $29,000.00 for Secondary School purposes (conversion of heating plant of Terrace Bay Campus, Lake Superior High School) was read a first, second and third time, and duly passed upon, was approved. Briefs were received from various tenants regarding rentals of teacherages. The rents will be increased as follows, effective September 1, 1973: Manitouwadge Public School Apartments by 30%, Manitou- wadge High School Apartments by 10%, all remaining units throughout the Division by 5%. It was resolved that the minutes of meeting No. 29 of the Trainable Retarded Children's Advisory Committee were acknow- ledged as received and the minutes of meet- ing No. 30 of the Trainable Retarded Child- ren's Advisory Committee were acknowledged as received and the proposed budget be ref- erred to the budget committee for consider- ation. The presentation of a brief by Mrs. A. H. Morris generated considerable debate. She spoke on behalf of driver education students outlining the benefits of, and requesting that the driver education car be permitted to travel to the city of Thunder Bay for driving practice.
