Vol. 16 No. 1 January 4, 1973 15¢ Per Copy IRENE STEEN, FIRST LADY TO COMPLETE 25 YEARS SERVICE The Kimberly-Clark of Canada Limited, Terrace Bay Mill Division, held its annual Quarter Century Club Banquet at the Terrace say Motor Hotel. Mr. Grant Puttock, Resident Operations Manager, welcomed and inducted nine new members to this exclusive Club--Mrs. Irene Steen, Mrs. Peggy Wellings, Messrs. Lawrence Abraham, Jack Brooks, Nick Chopty, Don Laporte, John Mikus, Bill Steinert and Verl Thompson. In making the presentations, Mrs. Irene Steen, has the distinct honour of being the first lady to become a member of this Club at the Terrace Bay Mill Division. As Mr. J. C. Wig, Vice President, was not able to be present for this occasion, Mz. Grant Puttock presented the new members with their Certificate of Membership and gold watches or clocks, and compacts to their wives. This jewelry was appropriately engraved. Following the banquet and presentations, Mr. and Mrs. Puttock entertained the new members at the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel. TEACHER APPOINTMENTS OUTLINED AT BOARD MEETING The minutes of Meeting No. 13/72 held November 18th, 1972 were declared adopted at the Lake Superior Board of Education Meeting held December 16 at the Terrace Bay High School. The Disbursements for the month of November 1972 in the amount of $267,958.25 were approv- ed for payment. Statements comparing expenditures to November 30, 1972 to budget estimates were . examined, and various questions were asked of the principals. The Board accepts with regret the following resignations, effective December 31, 1972: Mr. E. E. Forgues, Lake Superior High School, Miss M. Larocque, Marathon Public School, Mr. J. Norris, Lake Superior High School. The Board approved the following appoint- ments with salaries according to schedule: Mrs. Ruth A. Mulligan, Principal of the Lake Superior High School for the period January 1, 1973 to June 30, 1973 inclusive; Mrs. Glorie Miller, Schreiber Public School as a teacher for the period January 1, 1973 to June 30, 1973 inclusive; Mr. Merce Romanec, Schreiber Public School as a teacher for the period January 1, 1973 to June 30, 1973 inclusive; Mrs. R. Forgues, Minor Head, Guidance, at the Lake Superior High School, for the period January 1, 1973 to June 30, 1973 inclusive; Mr. William Houston, Assistant Principal at the Lake Superior High School, for the period January 1, 1973 to June 30, 1973, inclusive; Mr. Donald W.
