High water washes over pier as ice leaves lake There’s nothing like a warm spring day to get out and let loose, especially after along, hard winter. Jessie Powers, 12, of Port Perry took advantage of the great day to venture down to the Queen St. pier, just hours after the ice disap- peared from Lake Scugog on April 15, 2008. Record high water condi- tions in Lake Scugog result- ed in water lapping over the pier and Jessie couldn’t resist taking a spin through the shallow water.
