This film depicted industries in Fort ' William and district and-was edited by the city's Junior Chamber of Commerce. Mrs, Rollason gave an address_and demonstration on "Floral Arrangements" which proved most fascinating. * Draws were made for the various: arrangements demonstrated by Mrs,- Rollason, 'with the following lucky winners taking home beautiful flowers: Mrs. H, Freeman, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. D. Husband, Mrs. G. Brophy, Mrs. R. Todd, Mr. B, Jones, Mrs, F. Ginn and Mrs. J. Duncan, At the next general meeting, which will be held:on June 15th, Mr. D, Maat, Wills Nurseries, Fort William, Ont. will give a lécture on Bedding Plants, All children interested in partici- pating in the Junior programme, please register with Mr, C, MacDonald, Any member wishing to purchase manure, may do so by placing their .order (with $1,00 to defray hauling expences) with Mr. J. BROWNIE MOTHER AND DAUGHTER BANQUET -A 'banquet was held on May 26th in the - <Hotel Terrace honouring our Brownies and their Mothers, A very delicious dinner . was served and at ase neta was provided "by the girls, Brown Owl Mikus Spbhid the evening with Grace, after which "The Queen" was 'sung followed by a toast to Her Majesty by Acting Brown Owl Kae Anderson. After the main course a sing-song was held, led by Brown Owl Mikus. Brownie Cathy . Cavanaugh proposed a Toast to the Mothers to which Mrs. Betty Cavanaugh responded. A film strip "Her Majesty the Queen - Our Royal Guide" was shown with Commissioner Maitland doing the commen- tary. Each Brownie pack put on two de- lightful skits which were well run and well performed. The lst Pack's skit was called the "Lion Is King! They .also had an-"Action.Song", The 2nd pack did a skit in pantomine called: "Miss Popu- larity" and a singing game called "Bingo".
