Volume 4, No. 37 TERRACE BAY LITTLE LEAGUERS BEAT GERALDTON IN_EXTRA INN In what proved to be one of the finest played ball games of the year the local boys 14 and under defeated a strong Geraldton team by the score of 1llelO in an extra inning ball game en Sunday september 12th at Terrace Bay, Doug Moore pitched hitless ball fox the four innings he worked, Geraldton setting 2 runs on a walk and 2 errors, The local lads went ahead in the 5th only to see Geraldton get 5 runs on 6 walks ond 2 hits. Geraldton was still ahead 86 going into the last half of the 7th but the locals came through with 2 runs to tie it up. Then in the extra inning the visitors scored two big runs but. again vito some timely hitting Terrace scored 3 runs to win a thrilling game, Doug Moores pitching a strong infield and Ronnie Schock's 3 fine catches in left field along with Frank Ginns, Andy Dejonghe - Brian Harvey, Joey Wig end Dennis Bouchie's hitting and with a fine throw by Jackie Little to cut off a home run by Geraldton, featured the contest.
