Marilyn was born in Windsor, Ontario on March 13, 1939 to Henry and Ilean Byrne. Marilyn was the cherished mother of Debra Walton (Grant), Gregory Bélanger, Gilles Bélanger, Geoffrey Bélanger (Lisa), Mark Bélanger (Lori) and Monique Goodman-Herrington (Paul); she was the proud grandmoth- er of Leanne Jenner (Mark), Andrew Walton (McKenzie), Stuart Walton, Meghan Girard, Grant Bélanger, Mitchell Bélanger, Griffin Bélanger, Logan Bélanger, Cameron Goodman and Braeden Goodman; and she was the beloved great-grandmother of Chloe and Kadence Jenner. Marilyn was predeceased by her late husbands George Bélanger (1987) and Patrick Soucie (2001); by her siblings Ed (Helen), Harvey (Joyce), Orville (Mickey), Rita, Alvera (Bob), Larry (Connie), Virginia (Joe) and Hank; and by her dear daughter-in-law Teri. She is survived by her sisters-in- law Bernadette Marier, May Bélanger and Jeannette Byrne. Marilyn was part of a large family and lived a full life as a wonderful daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She worked in customer service in the retail and service industries. Marilyn was a loyal companion to her many dear friends. She was a long-time member of the Marian Ladies in Oakville; she enjoyed sharing time with her friends and playing cards with the Navy League in Burlington, Knights of Columbus and her Poker group. She was her grandsons' greatest hockey, baseball and basketball fan. Marilyn will be missed by her many friends and relatives. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID, a memorial service to honour Marilyn will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada/ Canadian Mental Health Asso- ciation/ Second Chance Minis- try (Windsor-Essex)/ Halton Se- niors Advocacy Group. Crem- ation has take place, and Mom is at Glen Oaks in Oakville. HOPE, Evadnie Olivia ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Evadnie Olivia Hope passed away peacefully on February 5, 2021 at the age of 71. She is survived by her husband Dr. Kempe Ronald Hope, and step -children Euclyne and JR. She is the cherished sister of Pat Wynter, Tracey Houchen, and Michael and Godfrey Nobrega; the sister-in-law of Lorraine Hope-Thompson, Maxine Hope-Simpson, the late Gordon Hope, June Nobrega, and Loleta Yorrick; the Aunt of Michael and Michelle Houchen, Michael Nobrega, Jr., Brent Sullivan, Ricki Nobrega, Chad Wynter, Kharim Ata-Ayi, and Yussef Wainwright; and godmother of Kim and Mark Serrao. Evadnie was a highly compassionate and quiet soul who worked on various humanitarian and charitable projects especially while she was in Africa with her husband who was a senior United Nations official. She was also a devout Catholic and long- standing member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed by so many friends, family, and all who knew and worked with her. A Celebration of Evadnie's Life will be held at a later date when gathering together is again possible. RATCLIFFE, Brian Peter ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Brian emigrated to Canada in 1974 from Salford, Lancashire, England where he settled in Oakville, ON with his young family. He worked as a refrig- eration technician although his life long passion was soccer. Working with various clubs including Oakville Soccer Club, Penn State, Canadian National teams and Sheridan College as a coach and mentor coach, Brian's passion to influence young talent in the art of soccer and life was truly what he excelled at. His main philosophy "Per- sonal Pride" was taught in everything he did. He is pre- deceased by parents Ernest and Mildred and sister June Cawly (Colin). Brian is survived by his wife of 56 years Pat, brother Ernie (June) and niece Yvonne. He is also survived by his children Lisa and Peter (Debbie) and four loving grandchildren Dylan, Billy, Jake and Alex. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. YATEMAN, Clara Mae (1928 - 2021) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mae on February 5, 2021. A loving mother to Donna Cossitt (Cam) and a special "Nan" to everyone that knew her. Mae was predeceased by her husband Joseph of 63 years in 2012. Throughout her life she was very involved with her grandchildren and great- grandkids whether it was caring for them, enjoying their sports and activities or a listening ear. "Nana" was always there. She will be remembered for her love and devotion not only to her immediate family but to her many nieces and nephews. She will be incredibly missed by her grandkids Ryan Pulford (Tara), Sarah McQuay (Shaun), Brad Cossitt (Ashley), Laura Zuccato (Matt), and Ryan (Karen). Cherished memories by her great-grandkids Jacob, Troy and Eva, Sophia, Isla, Macai, and Lyric, Corey, Logan and Lucas, and Joshua, Abby and Sam. Her name "Mae" is carried on with all the girls in the family. She will be deeply missed by her special friend Theresa Mason. To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors.
