On July 8, town council unanimously voted in favour of a motion put forward by Coun. Tom Adams, requesting staff develop a bylaw making the wearing of non-medical masks mandatory. The bylaw will be considered at a special council meeting on July 16. This meeting, however, be- comes redundant in the event the region - which was to hold its own meeting to discuss a similar regionwide bylaw on July 15 - reverses its original recommendation.
