Halton Environmental Network (HEN) has sum- mer initiatives that will get everyone of all ages inter- acting with nature -- both virtually and in-person -- around our community. For children aged six toFor children aged six toF 10, HEN has launched its Eco Heroes virtual summer camp for July 20 to 24. This reimagined camp experi- ence uses an online plat- form to educate childrenform to educate childrenf with engaging activities and experiments. Campers will have the opportunity to become a certified eco-hero and learn how their actions make a positive impact on the envi- ronment. New themes, like back- yard biodiversity and waste management, are intro- duced daily. The camp fee is $20, and a kit filled with eco-con- scious materials will be pro- vided for participation. The historic home built between 1835 - 1837 on Oakridge Farm was home to Joseph Ireland, one of Burlington's first settlers.
