NEW TOOL LETS USERS TRACK MILTON BUSES IN REAL TIME BAMBANG SADEWO bsadewo@metroland.com The days of standing in the cold of winter and wondering if your bus will arrive at the bus stop on time are over. Milton Transit has rolled out a new tool, TransitTracker, that allows tran- sit users to get real-time bus in- formation. Using the web-based tool, us- ers can input the specific bus stop number or name - or choose the route and stop from drop-down menus - to get location and arriv- al times of buses along the route in real time. "Milton Transit is continuous- ly adopting new technologies to meet the needs of our growing community," said Tony D'Ales- sandro, Milton Transit manager, in a news release. "Real-time transit information gives cus- tomers a better public transit ex- perience and has the potential to attract new customers to our ser- vices." He said that giving riders ac- cess to the real-time travel info has been a priority for the agen- "We've made several digital improvements this year and ex- pect that ridership will continue to grow.
