Thankfully, the gas station em- ployee who chased them after they took off from the Esso gas station at 1515 Main Street E., in the area of Highway 401 and James Snow Parkway, wasn't injured. Police say the incident oc- curred around 6:15 a.m. on Nov. 11. Officers said one of the men fu- elled the first tank of his white transport truck, then turned the vehicle around and fuelled the other tank for a total of $757.30 worth of diesel fuel. Const. Jody Dugas said the men then left without paying. The gas station worker followed the truck in attempts to get the licence plate and the vehicle fled "at a high rate of speed," she added. The license plates are on file as stolen, police said.
