NEWS Milton teen killed in street racing crash A late-night street rac- ing incident in Mississauga claimed the life of a young Milton woman Monday. Peel Regional Police Ser- vice spokesperson Const. Iryna Yashnyk told the Mil- ton Champion that the 19- year-old passenger was pronounced dead scene of a crash into a pole near Mavis Road and Eglin- ton Avenue West at about 11 at the - p.m. Yashnyk said it's: be- lieved the accident oc- curred during "street rac- ing activity." A 2l-year-old woman was seriously injured in the crash and taken toa trauma centre, while the male driv- er was transported to a lo- cal hospital with non-life- threatening injuries. The two drivers - both men, 20 and 22 years of age - are in custody and face charges of criminal negli- gence causing death. Further charges are pending, according to Yash- nyk.
