Passed away peacefully at his residence in Naples, FL on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 93. Born December 18, 1924 in London, England, Sid first came to Canada during the Brit ish Commonwealth Air Training Plan as a Royal Air Force pilot (1941-46) during WWII. Sid served as President of Procor s tar t ing in 1964 , D i rector of PL Robertson, and many other companies worldwide. He was an active member of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (where he kept his Harvard), and the Oakville Club where he kept his sailboat and played squash. He was one of the largest Canadian gun collectors of British shoulder arms, as well as an avid marksman, hunter, scuba diver, and skier. After moving to Lake Forest, IL in 1972 as Senior VP, then President of Union Tank Car, he devoted his spare time to his master carpentry skills, crafting fine furniture for all of his five children. Sid retired in 1995 and stayed in Lake Forest until 2016, when he moved to Naples, FL. Sid was predeceased by his loving wife Adelheidur (Heida) Maria Einarson, whom he met in Gimli, MB during the war. He will be sadly missed by his children: Marilyn (John) Fraser in Oxford, GA; Pamela (Tony) McDermott in Covington, GA; Valerie (Jock) Macrae in Oakville, ON; Reg (Cathy) Bonser in Antioch, IL; Grant (Cathy) Bonser in Naples, FL; his 16 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. September 16, 1930 - December 5, 2018 Passed away in graceful peace in her 88th year, with family at her side at Ian Anderson House. Marni was born in Hamilton, Ontar io, September 16, 1930. She attended Linbrook Elementary School and Oakvi l le Trafalgar High School. Beloved wife of the late James F. Cherrier for 52 wonderful years. Cherished mother of Kim (Larry) and Jill (Rob) and grandmother to Ryan (Lauren) Kelley and Casey. Survived by her brother Geoff (Kathy) and children Mark, Jason and Kendra. Marni was a charismatic woman with a love of life and friendship. She en joyed var ied char i tab le activities throughout her life, The May Court Club of Oakville, The May Court Christmas Crafters and The Oakville Historical Society. A long time member of the Oakville Golf Club, where she served on several committees. She was a true friend to many and loved to entertain and spend time with friends and family.
