One cannot watch the competiâ€" tions and view the displays and demonstrations without realâ€" izing how dependent the urban dweller and the farmer are on each other. That alone is a real contribution to our Canaâ€" dian way of life. * I would indeed be remiss if I did not voice my sincere thanks to the Ontario Plowmen‘s Association and particularâ€" ly to the Waterloo County Committee representing the host county on this occasion. Waterloo County has ever been known for the part it has played in Ontario agriculture ; it has ever been in the van in all things good for the industry as a whole. The hospitality of Waterioo County people is well known; their sincerity and industry recognized and honored wheréver people gather. Here you have industry and farmâ€" ing working side by side in a spirit of coâ€"operation setting an example worthy of emulation in all parts of this restless world. While the emphasis may be on plowing and the constant improvement of the skill of Ontario plowmen, the Internaâ€" tional Plowing Match has made an invaluable contribution in other ways.
