The Oakville Historical Society's popular Walking Tours o f Old Oakville is at 2 p.m. These popular tours are conducted by OHS volunteers who explain the background of the many landmarks on streets adjacent to the Oakville Harbour. Tours start from the Historical Society's archives and office at 110 King Street and end back at the same location where tea is served (included in the admission ticket). Each tour is preceded by a brief introduction to pro vide background about what's ahead, and each participant receives a detailed brochure for reference.. MONDAY AUGUST 2 The 34th annual Art in the Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. is at Waterfront Heritage Park in Bronte, foot of Bronte Road. Art in the park features 100 artists from across Southern Ontario -- painting, pottery, sculpture, glass, photography and more. Organized by the Oakville Art Society. Admission $2. , Spruce Lane Farm House in Bronte Creek Provincial Park turns 100. Descendants of the original owners of this living history museum will be celebrating this momentous occasion from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will include; Victorian card-making, old-fashioned ice cream making, tours of the house every half hour and many other Victorian amusements.
