Members o f the 11-person ju ry deliberated for just three hours before reaching their ver dict on day eight, Jan. 29, o f the trial, which took place at Milton courthouse. Eight jurors also recom mended Porte, 42, serve the max imum sentence o f 25 years in prison before becoming eligible for parole. Justice Gisele Miller said she would take this recommenda tion into consideration when de termining Porte's sentence.
