CUT HEADS OFF DANDELION®S BEFORE THEY GO TO SEED A gentleman who is specically inâ€" terested in horticultural matters and the beautifying of the town, suggested to The Advance this week that special note be made asking all to see that dandelions on their lawns or in their yards do not go to seed, This can easily be done by simply cutting off the heads of the dandelions before they come to seed. Many in town have beautiful lawns that they attend to carefully, but their efforts are much hnampered because others allow dandeâ€" lions to seed and the seed blows all over carrying the weed to the carefullyâ€" tended lawns as well as elsewhere. Anyone going much around town will agree that the dandelions are a nuisâ€" ance and spoil lawns and other pretty places. If all would combine to eradiâ€" cate the pest, they could be done away with. Tuxis, after leading with a score of 6 to 0, blew up in the first of the seventh, when the Moose came through with hits galore, including a home run. The good work done by the Moose made the victory a wellâ€"merited one. The Schumacher United Church choir is scheduled to give a musical programme in the Timmins Salvation Army citadel on Thursday, June 20th. The programme will feature local vocal solos, duets, part songs and anthems, violin and pianoforte solos also.
