BIG CHANGE IN ATTITUDE TOWARDS MINING INDUSTRY People in the South have noted a change in the attitude of legitimate mining investments in this North Land. The St. Mary‘s Journalâ€"Argus comments on this change as follows: big change is taking place in the attitude of local investment houses towards the mining industry of Northern Ontario. Not more than two years ago the timidest kind of caution was exercised by the old class of conservative broker and bond dealâ€" ers in recommending the purchase of an Ontario mining stock to a client. Toâ€"day, reviews of the doings of the mines ccecupy considerable space in letters and cireulars sent out to clients.‘"‘ TIMMINS IRISH SOCIETY 7 AT CHRISTMAS DINNER. Instrumental music was supplied by Messrs Malâ€" achy, Nohilly, Power and Kelly, while songs were rendered by Messrs Lynch, Ruddy and Fay.
