Mr. and Mrs. Johns were also well known and popular in Cobalt, Mr. Johns being on the staff of the Kerr Lake Mine both before and after his service as a soldier overseas. From Cobalt Mr. and Mrs. Johns moved to Timmins, Mr. Johns being employed at the Hollinger Mine. In October, 1923, they moved to Detroit,, where they resided for about six months, later going to Virginia, Minnesota, Mrs, Johns‘ old home. While in Timmins Mr. Horace Johns was proâ€" minent in football and other cireles, and both he and Mrs. Johns were highly regarded. Evidence of this was given last week by the number of anxious inquiries made regarding the accident, and also by the number of floral tributes sent from Timmins and Cobalt.
