Generous Cobalt People Give Sheltér a Gramaphone, and Records Now Wanted for the Through the kindness of Mr. and Mrs. T. MceCaulay and other friends in Cobalt, the Haileybury Shelter of the Children‘s Aid Society has now a handsome gramaphone, â€"and â€" the ~children being cared for in the shelâ€" ter are having a delightful time as a consequence. Mr. Robt. LeHeup is very pleased with the gift, and this, no doubt, for dAeeper reasons â€" than the simple one that it will help amâ€" use the children in the . shelter. __It will do more than amuse them, for it will help undoubtedly to cheer the children and to brighten.their livesâ€" all too dull in days gone by. It will be a good influence to bring them some measure of contentment and to turn their minds to the better things suggested by good music and wholeâ€" some entertaimment. Of course, the giving to the clulâ€" dren can not end here. For instance, there is the matter of records. _ A fow records, no doubt, went with the» machine, but other ones are needed, and there cannot indeed be too many of them. As The Haileyburian aptly© points out there are hundreds of reeâ€" ords in the district that are not in use, and tliese would be appreciated just as much as if they were brand new from the store.â€" If any one in Timmins or district has any records they can spare to the children, they should forward them to Mr. LeHeup at Haileybury, or if that is too much trouble if they will lsave them at The Advance office the editor will see that they are forwarded for the pleasure and benefit of the kiddies in the.C. A.S. shelter, mm en n M e Young, F. J. Kiddies. C on at ) +k A X
