Blood donor clinics Sat. & Mon. Two blood donor clinics are scheduled for on Sept. 11th and Sept. 13th. The first clinic is at the Glen Abbey Recreation Centre, 1415 Third Line, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. The second clinic is at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1215 Lakeshore Rd. W. from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 13th. The Toronto Blood Centre of Canadian Blood Services is calling on all regular donors and people who have never given before to attend a blood donor clinic. There is a special need for donors with type "O" blood, but the number of "a" and "B" units of blood in the blood bank are also low. The number of people donating blood in August had dropped as many regular blood donors were away on vacation or busy with summer activities. Healthy people, between the ages of 17 and 71 can give blood every 56 days, although first time donors must be under the age of 61.
