The funds include a $2,000 donation from Molson, a major sponsor. The remain ing money was raised from ticket sales and raffles. Prizes were donated by local busi nesses. The evening featured a presented by Sheridan Style - `Style '99' "People were very generous. It was a very good community night," said Sheridan professor and fundraiser organizer Frances Rustom. Wellspring House is an innovative treat ment and support facility for cancer patients which is slated to open next June. Book early to avoid disap pointment. Hikers have the choice of two routes -- one to the stand ing mins of the his toric ChristieHenderson lime kilns. The lime kilns, constructed by D.D. Christie of the Kelso area, were used to bum chunks of limestone from a nearby quarry. The burnt stone was turned into pow dered lime for the production of mor tar and plaster. The second hiking route is along the edge of the Escarpment to the tip of Milton Heights, the bluff overlooking Highway 401 at Milton with views of the surrounding area. Entry to Kelso Conservation Area is $3.25/adult; $2.75/senior; and $2.25/child (five to 14 years). Chair lift rides are $2/adult and $ 1/chiJd and senior. Guided hikes are $5/person.
