There are now three really effective treatments for this disease. All three are by prescription and your progress should be carefully monitored by your attending physician. DIDROCAL is an easy to use tablet more correctly a cycle of tablets, it is effective but slower than the other two drugs to achieve the desired bone growth. Lastly, a new drug called EVISTA, a selective estrogen receptor modulator. It is now only used in women unlike the other drugs which may be used by either man or woman.
