Through the art of permanent cosmetic make-up of course. A similar process to tattooing, (although virtually painfree) permanent make-up is a smudge-free, smear-free appli cation of your favourite make-up. Permanent cosmetic make-up is just the latest step in a natural succession of events for Shanette Seipt, owner of L'Exquisite, after first turning to professional make-up artistry over nine years ago. Steadily building a loyal customer base, Shanette decided it was time to open her own studio at 1131 Nottinghill Gate Place, on the second floor. Open and airy, clean and modern, L'Exquisite has expanded to a full service salon through Shanette's ongoing training and completion of various classes, courses and seminars. She now offers hand and foot treatments, manicures, pedicures, and aromatherapy massages, many different facials and treatments (mini-facials, super-lifting facials, gingko biloba and aromatherapy facials), eye contour treatments, glycolic treatments, waxing and sugaring, fiberglass, gel and resin nails as well as make-up and make-overs. And while these services have kept Shanette busy the past few years, she couldn' t help but notice the trend towards permanent cos metic make-up. So she signed up for yet another course. "Look glamorous 24 hours a day!" Another of Shanette's coin phrases right now, she also emphasizes that permanent make-up is not just for fun. "There are many people who have suffered hair loss due to medical treatments (chemotherapy, burn victims, cleft palate or Alopecia sufferers)," explains Shanette, "so I also apply eyebrows. There are also clients who simply can't apply make up themselves every day, so permanent cosmetic make-up is a small price to pay for permanent beauty."
