Oakville m an facing charges An Oakville man is facing charges after allegedly failing to remain at the scene of aJan. 11 accident. At approximately 8 p.m. on that date, an On tario Provincial Police officer attempted to pull over a vehicle travelling eastbound on the QEW approaching Third Line. The vehicle failed to stop for the officer and ex ited the highway at Third Line. The officer called off pursuit in the interest of public safety. The vehicle was reported to have continued southbound on Third Line and was involved in a collision with several other vehicles near the Wyecroft Road intersection. The driver and a female passenger fled on foot. A third person was apprehended by police. As the result of ongoing investigation, police arrested a suspect in Mississauga Feb. 12. Trevor Williams, 26, of Oakville faces charges, including: fleeing from police, three counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor ve hicle, failure to comply with a recognizance and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
