Burke was on hand to speak to students about her life and the everyday challenges of being blind and how, through positivity and never giving up, she overcomes those challenges. At just four years old, she was diagnosed with retinitis pigments, an eye disease that causes vision loss. Burke is a frequent motivational speaker in Oakville and beyond.
