Dates of Nov. 7th and 22nd are set for contract talks, w hich affect 1,000-1,100 teachers. L arry C hud said last w eek the union tabled a com prehensive position on w orkload issues. It was viewed by Halton District School Board representatives, but no formal response was made, said the union leader. F inancial num bers requested from the board w ere not ready for last week's session, said Chud, who's president o f O ntario Secondary School Teachers F ederation D istrict 20 (Halton). "These are pivotal in talking about where the m oney's com ing from," he said. The union will now await board response on workload and financial numbers, he said. C hud said the union is advising m em bers to m ake teaching 6.5 classes the pri ority and decide them selves about participating in after school activities.
