Jovanovich had the only goal in the opening period of Wednesday's game. Leaside tied the game with a shorthanded goal in the second but Jovanovich set up Lexie Adzija in the final minute of the period to restore Oakville's lead. Kayla and Sarah Fillier then scored 54 seconds apart early in the third period to extend the Hornets' advantage to 4-1. Jovanovich picked up her third assist of the game as Jessica Digirolamo scored a power-play goal to make it 5-1. Leaside got one back in the final seconds of the game. Annie MacDonald had two assists for the Hornets while Maddy McArthur made 32 saves for the win. Oakville, 7-0-2, hosts Waterloo tonight (Friday) at Joshua's Creek Arenas at 8:30 p.m. The Hornets play in London tomorrow. Gryphons catcher Lacoste an all-star Oakville's Troy Lacoste has been named to the Ontario University Athletics baseball all-star team. The second-year catcher with the Guelph Gryphons was named to the OUA second team. Lacoste batted .333 with three doubles, five RBIs and three stolen bases in 10 games, recording a hit in all but one of those games. Guelph went 11-7 this season, but was 7-3 with Lacoste behind the plate. The Gryphons play the Brock Badgers in the opening round of the playoffs this weekend.
