Last Tuesday, Orono travelled travelled to Sunderland and crushed the hosts by a score of 12-2. Goal scorers for the Leafs were Sean Bargent with four, Spencer Cole with three, Jesse Desourdy with two, while Ryan Somogyi, Greg St. James and Chris Lunn each had singles. Thursday, the Leafs were once again on the road travelling travelling to Mariposa. Another fine exhibition of hockey for the Orono Cafe as they outplayed their opponents, 5-2. Specer Cole, Carson Quinn and Tyler Webster each had one in the first period. In the second, Carson Quinn blasted another by the Omemee net keeper while Chris Lunn and Greg St. James had singles. Tyler Webster scored the lone goal of the third period. Solid defense by Eddy Meester, Ty Middleton and Ty Simpson kept the Omemee team out of the Leafs zone. Ryan Brandt and Patrick Rempel stepped up to the challenge challenge of a busy week of hockey and had three awesome games of goaltending.
