Each year, over 28 million teachers and educators in 161 countries countries across the planet observe World Teachers' Day and celebrate celebrate the contributions teachers make to our community and to democracy. This year's theme "Teachers Create Dialogue Every Day" pays tribute to the key role of teachers in promoting, day after day, in their classrooms and in their community, values of dialogue, tolerance, mutual respect and solidarity - the basic values of democratic societies. We would like to take this moment, in the course of our busy school year, and ask you to help recognize and celebrate the commitment our 3,000 teachers make daily to ensure the success of our students - your children. At KPR, our measure of success is broader than one solely of academic performance. It is measured in the development of character and in the capacity of our graduates to be conscientious citizens, and contributing members of our society. It is measured in the depth of their humanity, and their concern for the care of others in their communities. Teachers, along with the equally important contributions from all our staff, transform our visions into reality. Together, they ensure that our students reach their goals as learners and as individuals. We have the teachers who engage our students in the discussions of our time - in the questions about our world. Teachers who build community in their schools and help our students become contributing members of our society. Please join us in celebrating their accomplishments, not only at this time, but throughout throughout the year. Bob Willsher Chairperson of the Board Dr. Avis E.
