She started the Oakville Rug Hooking Guild and taught across Canada and the Eastern United States. Marjorie graduated from Macdonald Institute (U of G) 1940 and U of T 1942 BHSc. She was active throughout her life in many community activities including the Elizabeth Fry Society, Charter Member of the University Women's Club and Opti-Mrs Club, Director of the Oakville Historical Society, St. Jude's W.A., Oakville Golf Club and the Oakville Curling Club. A great listener and very dear friend to many, she will be missed by all.
