But, if she can't get there, she'll sit in her car, have her coffee, and watch the sun rise." Brearley, a music teacher, moved to Oakville in 1947, and has lived downtown, near her favorite park bench, since 1975. She has taught music for nearly 70 years, and says "I still love it," and continues to teach piano and theory full time to students o f all ages. "I prepare students for recitals, exams, and festi vals." She started teaching music while still in high school. She learned to play piano `by ea r' at a very young age, and gave her first recital at age five. By age 16, she had her music degree. Brearley is a mem ber o f the Royal Conservatory of Music.
