Musikay holding auditions Saturday & June 11 Musikay is looking for experienced choral singers to become new members of the Oakville choir. "Maestro Stéphane Potvin has carefully crafted his ensemble, Musikay, into one of the most dynamic, challenging, and rewarding choral groups in the region," stated a media release. Singers in all voice parts are invited to audition this Saturday (June 4) and June 11. Applicants' qualifications Interested applicants must have at least three years of choral experience, strong musicianship, be able to work a cappella, care for detail and fine work and solid, self-preparation skills and discipline, according to Musikay. "Hallmarks of Musikay include crisp intonation, blended sound, and superb phrasing," the release stated. "Musikay focuses mainly on Renaissance and Baroque music, but also performs Canadian repertoire." Rehearsals Rehearsals take place two weekends prior to each program and remuneration is based on a profit-sharing system.
