Starting next week, voter noti cation cards will arrive in the mail for eligible Ward 2 voters. Eligible voters who do not receive a card by March 25 are asked to call 905-815-6015 (TTY: 905-338-4200), email elections@oakville.ca, or visit the Clerk's department at Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Rd., to ensure their name is on the voters list. To vote, you must be... To vote in the Ward 2 municipal byelection you must be: · a Canadian citizen · at least 18 years old · a resident of Ward 2 in the Town of Oakville, or a non-resident owner or tenant of land in Ward 2 or their spouse Voting locations On the front of the voter card will be a list of locations in Ward 2 where residents can vote on voting day, April 11. Residents can vote at any one voting location. Those unable to vote April 11 can vote at one of the advance voting dates scheduled for Wednesday, March 30 and Saturday, April 2. Voting on March 30 will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Oakville Seniors Recreation Centre, 263 Kerr St., and the Sir John Colborne Seniors Centre, 1565 Old Lakeshore Rd. Voting on April 2 will take place between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the same locations. Residents are asked to take their voter card with them when they go to vote along with proper identi cation. Acceptable forms of ID Acceptable forms of identi cation include: driver's licence; Ontario photo card; current utility bill, bank or credit card statement, or insurance policy. All voting locations are physically accessible. During advance voting and on voting day, April 11, Oakville Seniors Recreation Centre (263 Kerr Street) will be physically accessible, will have accessible voting equipment and will be open to all voters. Residents not able to vote on Voting Day or any of the advance voting days can call the Clerk's department to obtain information on proxy voting at 905-815-6015.
