The endless expanse o f the Kaskawulsh Glacier merged into two perfect rivers of ice, relentlessly scour ing the flanks o f the towering valley walls. On the flight home, it was easy to feel somewhat small if not entirely insignificant as I gazed at the spectacu lar terrain from the comfort o f my economy seat. The scenery and memo ries, however, were nothing but first class, as my thoughts focused on an incredible 10 day visit to Canada's Yukon, with a side trip to Alaska.
