Oakville woman narrowly escapes injury as tree crashes onto car When Jessica Anderson heard a large crack, it was not related to her Friday afternoon trip to the dentist. It was the noise of a huge limb from her home's elm tree as it crashed down onto her Honda Civic, which she had, moments before, parked in her driveway. Luckily, Anderson had just gone inside and was not injured in the incident that happened around 4:15 p.m. on Lakeshore Road West near Willowridge Court. Upon surveying the scene, Anderson saw that the tree limb had crashed down, denting her vehicle's hood and smashing its windshield. Oakville firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after and went to work to remove the limb from the vehicle.
