"We will be taking technology to the next level in terms of a YMCA or recreation cen tre," said Ireland who admits being a comput er buff since the days of the PC Junior. "There isn't any one of us who isn't touched by the YMCA," said Oakville MPP and Speaker of the House Gary Carr as he and Trillium member Frank Paznar handed over the hefty cheque. The YMCA has already raised nearly $6 million and must raise over $6 million more to pay for the bricks and mortar, but it will also do fundraising to provide for its high-tech pro file.
