That's because the local theatre group will present The Wizard of Oz at the Milton Centre for the Arts May 9and 10Oat 8p.m. and May 10 and il at 2p.m. Milton resident Emma Hurst is among the performers. She's been involved in theatre for two years, encouraged by her mother to par- ticipate. Emma said she enjoys theatre, and watching actors perform on stage. In The Wizard of Oz, Emma is part of the Se- nior Ensemble, and has a role as a Poppy and a Citizen of Oz. She said she really enjoys the music in Oz and the wonderful dancing cho- reography. Emma said the play practices are going well, and she loves working with the directing team of Rob Woodcock, Elizabeth Bell, and Dale Wood since she says they are very well organized. Because the show is taking place at the Milton Centre for the Arts, Emma is happy that many of her Milton school friends and teachers will be able to see it. Other cast members are: Aniela Gregori, Ju- nior Ensemble, Matthieu Verdon, Scarecrow, Rachel Currie, Dorothy, Jenna Lausic, Senior Ensemble, Jake Zanth, Lion, Thomas Morley, Tin Man and Ethan Adema, Junior Ensemble.
