Its a way to give back to the municipalities and help us get back to that 600,000f - CN is partnered with Tree Canada and Communities in Bloom, two non-profit organizations commit- ted to environmental sustainability initiatives. The three chose Milton as a grant recipient for the progress it had already made with the Jaycee Trail, which included tree removal, tree planting, shrub maintenance and habitat preservation. A red oak tree was planted to mark phase 3. of the project, along with the unveiling of a sign commend- ing Milton for its municipal greening program. »Mother Nature is somnetimies bru- tal...It's nice to see some of the new plantings around here, just to regen- erate the area'» said Krantz. The grant moniey will be used for future forest management, trail im- provements and regeneration plant- ing in Livingston Park.
