The candidate for Halton regional chair in this month's municipal election is keen to talk about the Provlnce's legislated, long-term GrW land development and population growth directive, called Places To Grow. Woodruff, 40, a married father with a young daughter, is running for the regional chair seat against incumbent Gary Carr of Milton and- Oakvllle residents Syed Ali Naqvi and John Paulic. He was born in Russell, Ont. (southeast of Ot- tawa) but has spent most of his life in Halton., Me.attended M.M. Robinson High School and then Ryerson- University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Ap- plied Computer Science. Following university, he moved back to the Burlington area and spent time working for IBM, Eli Lilly and IJnisys.
