A 15-year-old Oakville boy allegedly took his parents' SUV for a joyride and crashed it into an Oakhaven Drive backyard early Friday. At 1:30 a.m., the teen and two friends took the vehicle without permission from his parents and began driving at high speeds through the neighbourhood, Halton police said. The driver lost control and struck a parked car on Oakhaven Drive before crashing through a wooden fence and into a jungle gym in a backyard. No one was injured in the accident. Brian Cabaday, who owns the property where the vehicle came to a stop, is thankful the crash did not happen during the day when his three children, aged 13, 10 and six, could have been playing in the backyard."Somebody could have been really hurt or killed," he said. Cabaday, whose car was also damaged, said this is not the first accident to take place on Oakhaven Drive. The boy, who cannot be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with careless driving and driving without a licence under the Highway Traffic Act. Police estimate the joyride resulted in $40,000-$50,000 in damages. Same or Next Day oakville Home of the Delivery in Looking to repaint a room in your house?
