Every Tuesday evening from May 19 through Sept. 29, car owners will bring their classic autos to the Dorval Crossing's Boston Pizza parking lot at 270 Dorval Dr., to admire the vehicles and socialize with other drivers and the community. The free event is open to the public and all ages of people interested in older vehicles, and runs from 6-9 p.m. It also features a rock-and-roll DJ, who plays the hits of the '50s and '60s, a 50/50 draw, and door prizes for drivers. The study has been conducted in compliance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, amended 2007 & 2011), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. Taking into consideration the comments that were received from the Town of Oakville, regulatory agencies and the public, Halton Region is recommending a preferred design, which includes the widening of Trafalgar Road to a six-lane urban cross section north of Iroquois Shore Road/Leighland Avenue, including intersection 407 E.T.R improvements, raised median and multi-use paths/sidewalks.
