The one stipulation is that the properties be offered first to other school boards publicity supported postsecondary educational institutions the municipality in which the land is located ministry of the On tario government or an authori ty established by it and non profit organizations funded in whole or in part by the provin cial or federal governments If no bid at price acceptable to the board Staff Reporter 36yearold former Angus resident was sentenced to four months in jail Thursday in pro vincial court in Barrie for what judge called deliberate and brutal assault Cla ton McConnell was con vict on charge of assault causing bodily harm against Edward Searale the man Mc Connell says molested his wife and terrified his children McConnell now of Belleville was charged by the Barrie OPP Sept 26 after Searale was rush ed to Royal Victoria Hospital with broken jaw and crush ednose Eyewitness Glenn Dobson testified Wednesday he saw Mc Connell repeatedly punch Searale in the face with heavy blows during an incident Sept 26 at the charcoal plant where Searale worked Then he put the boots to him kicking him about the shoulders he told Judge Nor man Nadeau Dobson who said he was standing six feet from Searale when the incident began said Searale was em tyhanded dur ing the fight an didnt want to fight He testified McConnell accus ed Searale of fooling around with his wife The fi ht lasted two minutes said son and Searale was left on the ground with blood on his face and shirt when Mc Connell left Dobson said no one moved to help Searale because they feared McConnells
