the examiner girl The Ontario Ministry of Housing will be buying only 25 of the 30 homes in the Letitia Heights subdivision sought by the ministry for rent gearedto income housing City council voted Monday to stand by its policy of allowing only 23 such homes in any given area The city will pay per cent of the rent subsidy on each home the standard formula for provincial lowrent housing The homes sought for pur chase by the province are semi detached units and street townhouses on Chaucer Christie and Scott Crescents and Shelly Lane Many are next door to homes already oc cupied planning director Rick Bates told council Shirley Near executive secretary of the Barrie and District Real Estate Board for the past years was named director of the Canadian Real Estate Associations executive officers council last week at the associations annual con ference in Calgary The fivemember board of directors represents paid staff officers for more than 90 real estate boards across Canada Mrs Near
