election of the 1978 warden is still several months away there already has been con siderable discussion in Simcoe ounty circles concerning leading prospects Most frequently mentioned are Reeve Morris Darby of Tiny township the current chairman of the key finance and general government com mittee and former chairman Reeve Bill Gibhins of Innisfil Other mssibilitics also have been named as likely to receive consideration for the choice of the 120th warden in the countys ong history dating back to 1842 The county councillors will be making the decision next January Jacob lrving was the first warden after the district of Simcoe was proved by the government first meeting of county representatives was at Toronto and then they were held at Barrie from 1843 until 1973 when the county ad ministration headquarters was moved to Midhiirst Both Reeve Darby and Reeve Gihbins were among the nominees last January when the incumbent Reeve Allan Glasslord of Techumscth was chosen Reeve Gibbins
