energencim Representing Harrie will be captain Tony tainpeau an Eastyiew Secondary School graduate and Mike and Karen Eaton both Bar rie North ollegiate gra duates all of whom were on last years team and newcomers ltob tampbell and Sharron Reid both North graduates and Merilee Osborne student at Barrie entral tollegiate Competition will begin at 11 am with paddleboard 11 to teams will begin com petitions 111 first aid and emergency sit iiat ions teams will be divided by lot ttlto two member tiist aid teams and fourmember emergency teams First aid coinpetioiis will be held behind screen so that com petitois will not know in ad vaiicc what simulated 111 iiiries they must deal with Emergency situations on the other hand will be staged in pubhc by about two dozen volunteers mingling with swimmers Each emergency team Will be in charge of the beach from ltiiiiiiiiites to halt an hour and will be faced ith two simulated emergeii cies hich muld range from lost children to near drownings troin cut fingers to knife fights tompetitors will be judged on crowd eon aid and other skills Meet manager Jim Mac Donald says organizers are hoping as many people will turn out to the beach as possible to give mmpetitors large crowd to watch for emergencies Swim relays Wlll be held at pm followed by public demonstration by the winnr ing first aid team and finals among the top three emergency teams lrophies will be given to the top finisher in each category the top overall team and the top rookie team while individuals on the winliing team in each category and on the top three
