wanimw Day camp with difference There is day camp with difference going on this sum mer at Forest Hill public school in Midhurst Children aged five to 14 can spend their summer learning gymnastics George Cooper principal of the school and coordinator of the program said the response so far has been great and there are still openings for the three remaining programs It really isnt program to develop top level gymnasts he said but rather to provide useful service to the com munity and to provide summer employment for instruc tors There are three full time instructors involved in the pro gram which runs daily throughout the week from 930 am to 330 pm The course is now in its first session but there are still three twoweek sessions available at cost of $20 per ses snon The course is open primarily to Vespra students first but Examiner Photos by ROLF KRAIKER Bernice Hodges does walkover we will take people from all over the County he said We have kids coming from as far away as rillia to attend the classes and so far its been real success We have all the best equipment here and in lot of cases are better equipped than lot of high schools in the area The course is divided into four different catagories depen ding on the level of skill of the person Courses include modern dance beginner tennis volleyball basketball trampoline vaulting the high bar the uneven bars the rings tumbling and the balance beam The program is financed by the Ministry of Culture and Recreation who put up $2000 towards paying the wages and is also financed by the registration fee of $20 It certainly isnt money making project he said We will probably break about even but thats okay if the kids learn something and have good time
