in the Huronia region at this weeks meeting of the Rotary Club of Barrie What the Future Holds for us was the topic of the talk given to about 00 at luncheon held at Miramar Gardens Markle said 15 per cent of the total income of the Huronia region is from tourism To demonstrate his point he cut off the corner of dollar bill to show the part of the Huronia dollar rep resented by tourism Of the $490 million spent in Huronia $10 million comes from tourism It is already the largest industry in some areas of Canada and quite few areas in the United States The Huronia region in cludes south Simcoe County the Barrie area Orillia area and the MidlandCollingwood area He said tourism is growing at rate of 10 to 20 per cent year and some predict it will be one of the largest if not the largest industry in Canada by the end of the cen tury NOT INVOLVED it is big and it is growing but nobody is in the business Markle said You may hear people say ing the ski resort owner hotel operator or
